‘During my internship, I performed market research and competitor analysis to generate market entry strategies for the clients through literature review, focused-group interviews and data analysis in different business models. I also assisted Peter and Marco with sorting out relevant financing options for different projects. During the learning process, Peter and Marco were open to discuss my questions and guided me with their professional knowledge. Additionally, the office is located in FreedomLab, a co-working space, full of innovative start-ups. I enjoyed meeting people during lunchtime and participating in social activities (e.g. campus drinks, outdoor bootcamp). Overall, it was quite an exciting experience being an intern at Health Leads.’
Yuanming Cao, Business Administration - Small Business & Entrepreneurship, University of Groningen
"Working at the Venture Development company Health Leads, I was involved in all activities regarding the realization of digital health solutions. Health Leads consists of a small four-heads team of experienced entrepreneurs. The office is located in the beautiful and inspiring working place FreedomLab where I had the chance to meet a range of interesting start-ups and people from all over the world.Being at Health Leads is a great opportunity to experience the digitalization of a rapidly changing industry while working in a vibrant environment and gaining responsibilities right from the start. Throughout the working period the two partners shared their experience and provided extensive help whenever needed, which thus provided me with a high learning experience and a lot of fun."

“Working with venture developers will challenge you to simultaneously think as an entrepreneur, an investor, and as a consultant. At Health Leads I personally worked on two great digital healthcare projects. In both, I collaborated on crafting exploitation plans for cutting edge technologies that were developed by research consortia from across Europe. In doing so, I learned how to develop strategic commercialization plans, craft financial projections, and deliver succinct reports outlining recommendations. Personally, I really enjoyed the challenge of combining these mindsets and living up to the responsibilities of this challenging work; in hindsight, I think few workspaces are so holistic. Evin Hughes, Science and Business Management, Utrecht University “Interning for Health Leads was an inspiring and rewarding experience. I was responsible for the research on a business plan for a digital health project. I conducted market and literature research, patient and expert interviews and presided several brainstorm sessions which enabled me to develop a go-to-market strategy. This was a creative and iterative process where I obtained understanding in market channels, customer needs and financing. Working for Health Leads is output focused and comes with much freedom on how you plan and execute your work. Peter and Marco will involve and guide you into this whole process where they treat you as an equal. An internship at Health Leads is a perfect opportunity to work in the digital health market, connect to people in the field and gain experience in venture development.
